Pollen
Pollen is used as a food additive in feeding the bees.
Due to its rich composition and pronounced biological effects, it is also used as a supplement aimed at increasing the resistance of the the human body.
Bee pollen grain is oval in shape and size from 10 to 150 microns.
When collecting pollen from flowers of plants bees mix it with secretions of the salivary glands and nectar. Then oval it in honey and make granules (pellets) with a size of 1-2 mm that weigh about 5-6 mg. Bees use pollen as food for the larvae, to produce wax and royal jelly.
It is rich in minerals: zinc, copper, chromium, vanadium, cobalt, nickel, gallium, molybdenum, phosphorus, zirconium, manganese, calcium, barium, aluminum, silicon, iron, and sulphur.
It is rich in protein: 20% - 60%. Includes irreplaceable aminoacids for human body. Contains four times more proteins than meat and twice as much than cheese.
It is rich in vitamins: C, B1, B2, B6, B8, E, provitamin A, folic acid, biotin, tocopherol, nicotinic acid (vitamin PP), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5).
Contains: lipids, aromatic substances ferments, fruit sugar, antibiotic substances.
