Honeycomb – Beeswax

Honey bees use the beeswax to build honeycomb cells in which their young are raised and honey and pollen are stored.

Beeswax has no nutritional value but is indispensable for use in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, naturopathy, etc.

Bees produce wax where there is sufficient nectar and pollen.

Wax is almost white when separated from the wax glands of the honey bee. In the construction of honeycombs wax goes into slightly yellowish colour.

Beeswax has a pleasant aroma. It is tasteless. It melts at 63-65°C and it is lighter than water.

Honeycomb is considered as a delicacy. It combines the effectiveness of honey and wax.

Wax has absorption properties. When it is superimposed on the skin it absorbs toxic products.

Wax improves the elasticity of the tissues and gives a fresh look to the skin.

Used in the treatment to breast glands rhagades and cracked heels, hay fever, asthma, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis. Beeswax is a widespread cure in treatment of boils and pustules.

Thermotherapy with wax and wax with 10% propolis used for the treatment of colds and inflammatory diseases of the muscles, tendons and nerves, lumbago, tendovaginitis, neuritis, traumatic and degenerative diseases of the joints system.
