The history of the apiary
It all began in 1994. I wanted to work for my living rather than to work for wages.
During this time, my grandmother was taking care of a hive.
So in the fall of 1994 by a hive we made three hives, but two of them died in the winter. So I was extremely disappointed.
Was only in 1996 when I decided to try again and I bought seven more hives.
As a beginner beekeeper I could not to distinguish the queen-bee from a drone. Over the years I have learned how to distinguish them.
I accustomed to the pain and stress of the bee sting. I have started to work without any book reference.
In 2006, there was a problem with a bee parasite - varroa destructor. The medicines for that parasite had no 100% efficiency.
I started to read, learn, and experiment with herb. My efforts and experiments had success in the treatment of other bee’s diseases like nozema. This encouraged me, because I knew that there should be an alternative.
In 2008, the problem with bee mites - varroa destructor increased.
To treat bees I used fewer drugs, but they had acquired resistance towards the drugs.
Most of the drugs were strong pesticides. I decided to treat the bees with herbs.
I had already read many books on treatment with herbs and I had acquired a lot of knowledge.
Finally, during the summer of 2009 when I did my regular experiments, I got my first serious success against bee mites -varroa destructor.
I use herbs since 2009, and my bees don’t disappear any more. They even became extremely strong.
When in the winter of 2011 other beekeepers lost their bees, I did not encounter the same problem.
Today my bees are healthy with growing numbers. My bee products are environmentally friendly and clean.
